Enchanting Brews [Alt.Ctrl Game]

The context

This game was developed as part of an [Alt.Ctrl Game] workshop, within the Masters in Design and Playful Media at Universidade Lusófona, led by Tatiana Vilela dos Santos.

The game

Enchanting Brews is a two player game where one player is the witch/wizard, trying to brew potions, while the other player is the clumsy assistant that has to fetch the ingredients.

The witch/wizard game view comprises of the caldron and potion recipes. 

While playing they must keep stirring the cauldron, ask out loud for the necessary ingredients and confirm if the assistant retrieved the correct one.

The assistant game view comprises of 4 buttons on a box, symbolizing ingredients, and a 5th button next to the cauldron used for item retrieval. 

When playing as the assistant, players have to physically move back and forth between the ingredient box and the caldron. First, players should listen to the ingredient order, then, they should tap the corresponding color, or color combination, and after collecting the correct ingredients, they should come back to the caldron and tap the button to put the ingredients inside the caldron.
