The process
The game was developed in the Unity Engine, along with its integration with the render interface. The structure's layout is replicated in the developed program, and the events and collisions that are detected during the game trigger the respective behavior from the structure and its individual LEDs.
The structure and the controls
The alternative render interface utilized for Dungeon X is a structure with several LED strips put together to form six concentric hexagons; in total, the display contains over 200 LEDs and measures 1.65x1.65 meters.
Additionally, an alternate controller featuring a button, a knob and a switch was used for the game.
